story time.

Since before I started staying home,
I had started looking for fun/free things to do with Eleanor during the day.
One thing that caught my eye was story time at the library.
It said that it was interactive and made for children her age so I couldn't wait to check it out.
But since I've been watching Jase as well, I've been a little terrified to take both of them
because I wasn't sure if I could handle both!

Last Thursday, my brother had the day off so we loaded them both up and headed that way.
It was in a huge room, FULL of kids. I couldn't believe how many were there.
And it was so much fun.
We sang songs, shook little bells and shakers, they sat under a parachute while the parents pulled it up and down, and just ran around and played with all the other kids.
Not at all just a sit down and read a book kind of event.
Both babies loved it (and so did I) so I'm hoping to make it a weekly event:)

slide.

The slide has never been more fun!
We couldn't get Eleanor away from it :)

She would climb up it over and over,
laughing and grunting all the way.
Eventually she would lose her grip and slide down backwards on her belly,
still laughing.
It's so fun to watch your baby having fun!

Afterwards, we had a little family photo shoot in the grass.
We threw Eleanor up in the air so many times,
and after looking through the pictures,
I decided I was reaching my hands up to high
& decided to lower them a bit.
We got the best shot that looks like she was just flying towards the moon.
And then Eric had a heart attack,
so that was the last time for that. ;)

I love when Eric has the night off & we can spend time as a family,
Because they are both kind of my favorite people.

Happy Birthday EK!

Happy 1st Birthday Eleanor!

I'm still trying to wrap my head around .
The fact that I have a one year old.

A sassy and sweet little one year old whom we are so very proud of.
And love more than anything in the world.
You are so funny, smart, and loving. (Also very ornery!!)

It awes me when I see you toddling around the house,
swinging your little arms with the sweet little Buddha belly leading the way.
When just a year ago, you were in your rock n play, so tiny and warm.
Now you are SO busy and into everything.

Every night when I lay you down, I thank God that he gave you to me.
I kiss you and say Goodnight and start missing your smile.

Wake up baby, it's your BIRTHDAY!!

Opening her present from Mom & Dad
Eleanor loves anything that makes noise, so when Eric saw this on a commercial, he decided this is what she should have. It goes from a walker to a ride-along, has spaces to put shapes through & sings. The first few times she pushed his nose & it started talking, she would scramble for her dad's lap! So funny. But she has gotten over that and loves it now.

After naptime, we got dressed up in your birthday outfit and went to visit some of our favorite people. First we stopped to see Grandma, then went and ate lunch with Dad at his work & last stopped to see TT.
You are such a precious girl. And so smart.
We are so lucky to have you as our very own
and I can't believe you are already a year old.

I can't wait for this next year,
to watch you grow & learn
and get all of your kisses.
Happy Birthday baby love.

farmers market

An adventure to the farmers market,
in the cutest little wagon.

We had to make stops at every musicians booth,
but there was one we stayed at for over 20 minutes.
Both babies were clapping their hands and rocking in the wagon.
I let Eleanor out and she walked right up to them
and started dancing.
They had these little easter eggs shakers,
and she just stood there shaking and moving!

We bought pumpkin butter, garlic sourdough bread, pet some puppies
and just had a great time walking around the square with our friends!
When we got back to the car, I couldn't believe we had been there for over an hour and a half.

pumpkin patch.

last year when Eleanor went to the pumpkin patch,
she was just 2 weeks old.
I carried her in the sling, and slept the entire way through the corn maze.

today, on our first visit for the year,
my big girl was walking around like a champ
and looking at the animals, picking out pumpkins and feeding cows tortillas.

Even though Eric told us before we left that it was too early for pumpkins,
we just HAD to get a little one to celebrate the trip!
So sweet and little, just like my own little pumpkin.

We can't wait to go back soon,
especially when it cools down and we can get into proper fall attire!

Milestones.
You can go from squatting to standing on your own! And up and down and up and down:)

So super close to taking a step. You have taken a couple while lunging towards the couch but not quite there yet. I would guess definitely before your birthday.

Saying Daddy (daaEEE), Bye bye (sounds like daaaa daa but she only really says it when she's waving), Uh Oh and lots of gibberish.

Most nights I am able to just put you down in your crib and walk out with absolutely no crying. You go down around 9 and wake up between 8-8:30.
