Crystal Bridges.

Day 1 of our official vacation.

We took our time getting around, had a little lunch & then made our way to the Crystal Bridges museum.

After walking around inside for a while, we got the most confusing directions ever from a security man with a ponytail, and found the art trail.

-Size 2 Diapers
-Formula/ Some Solids
6-9 month clothing
Sleeps 7-8 hours at night

Milestones:

You are such a great eater! You especially love carrots and veggies right now. Not really digging the applesauce the last few times. You will sit in your high chair and grunt or make noise to let me know you are ready for another bite andwhatistakingsolong! We have tried some more textured stuff, and you will chew (& chew & chew) but get gagged trying to swallow. So, we are sticking with the more pureed foods.

You are getting so good at giving me "kisses". Not that you know what you are doing, but you will put both of your hands in my hair and lean your face up to mine with a huge open mouth. Sometimes when you get my cheek instead of my mouth, you will just put your tongue on my cheek and lick me.

Roly Poly. We lay you on a blanket and the next thing we know you are across the room. Quite the master roller.

Sitting- You are an excellent sitter. You can lean forward and grab things and pull yourself back up. Sometimes when you are laying, you look like you are trying to do crunches because you are trying to sit up on your own. Not quite there, little girl. ;) You also love to hold our hands and stand up. Bouncing up and down or dancing with dad.

Mother's Day.

I celebrated our very first Mother's Day this past weekend.
I have wanted to be a mom for my whole life.
 I'm so happy to be part of the club now. ;)

Eleanor was so thoughtful to make me a posterboard that said Happy Mother's Day.
There were 4 flaps and each one had a member of our family (Eric, Ellie, Sam, Chuy)
and under the flaps were gift cards.

Old Navy and Hobby Lobby.
They are speaking my love language.

We ended the day swapping kisses.

So thankful for this sweet baby and that I get the chance to be her mom.

Color Run 2013.

The Happiest 5k on Earth;)

We got up bright and early Saturday morning and headed down to the race...
we were actually the last wave of runners to go,
but I thought it worked out well.

After the first color station, we quickly learned how to get the most color!
I got blasted in the face at the orange station & a man gave Kap an extra big blast of powder at the blue.
Ellie stayed in the stroller and we just covered her up with a blanket at each station.

 

Clean up was harder than I was expecting!
We had already checked out of the hotel, so we went to Sadie's dorm to shower.
I had paint inbetween my toes and in my armpits.
We scrubbed and scrubbed and still had color left!

Tulsa weekend.

on Friday afternoon, we loaded up and headed to tulsa.

i waited until the last minute to pack (of course) so after work i was mad dashing around trying to throw clothes in a bag and find my shoes and decide if ellie needed long or short sleeves (and ended up packing her entire closet.)

 

Thank God for Eric b/c he had the diaper bag ready to go & loaded up the jogging stroller and helped me so much!

 

we picked up Kappy & headed off on Ellie's first mini road trip/girls weekend!

 

i should note that when kapriel got in the car,

she made fun of me for having the:

1. gps

2. printed directions

3. and mapquest app.

 

my partners didn't last too long:

 

we had dinner and fro yo with Sadie and then headed back to the hotel for some rest because on Saturday, we were going to do:
